Other than my power disadvantage, the RX7 and my truck seemed to be fairly evenly matched. Both vehicles used identical brand tires. The RX7 used Nitto NT01 R compound 275 width tires and I was running the exact same tire, but in a 315 width. The RX7 is equipped with a roll bar, safety harness, big brake kit and is powered by a built LS3 turbo motor weighing in around 2900 lbs.

I'm going to up the spring rates and convert the solid rear bar to an adjustable blade style bar as I have already done in the front. The rear bar is practically useless now.

My line through the esses sucked in this video clip because I slowed down when I became distracted in my rear view mirror by a large plume of smoke that emanated from the back of his car after he gained on me and then subsequently had to back off the throttle. He was running an extra quart of crankcase oil to prevent oil starvation causing the smoke under deceleration.

Where the video ended I let him pass and then followed him for a couple laps.

I ran in PDX instead of time trial so I could run with my friends. The only annoying thing is the slow traffic.

I am wondering what a stock Sy should trap in the 1/8th. I ran mine last night and my best run was 9.01 with a 2.0 60 ft and a 9.27 with a 2.2 60 ft, the speed was consistent at 76.73 and 76.84. The first 9.27 run was a terrible launch, but the other run I left at about 7-8 Lbs, though I think I pushed through the beam and tripped the timer before I was ready. I am curious to see if the truck is running right or if it is just a launch issue. The track elevation is about +700 ft and it was about 75* with low humidity.

It was great, but I had problems with excessive body roll (new sway bars hopefully soon) Street tires (nothing I can do right now) and had the motor breaking up badly (tune up soon). I managed to top out at 107 on the straightaway but better brakes and a tune up should get that up. Apparently the truck was leaning so bad in the corners there were bets about if I would roll over. I only ended up in the grass twice and nothing blew up.
