Here is the rundown of a conversation we had lastnight. I am sure you guys have had similiar.

Me: "So I want to buy a typhoon"

Wife: "Um, I know its been awhile, but you do remember you own one right?"

Me: "Well yeah, but I want another"

Wife: tons of laughter

Me: "No really, I will give you the durango and buy a stock Ty for a daily driver"

Wife: "Wait, you are actually serious?!"

Me: "Well yeah, we can get some good deals right now"

Wife: "I am sorry but that is a very dumb idea"

Me: "that hurts"

Wife: "I will tell you what, I am going to buy a new car, and when its paid off you an buy a typhoon"

Me: "Well I am thinking of the family here, I really want a syclone but I will settle for a typhoon since it has the backseat"

Wife: more laughter "You are not going to win this arguement"

Me: "Well it shouldnt be an argument"

Wife: "Ok, fine, you will not win this discussion"

So to sum it up, looks like I gotta wait a year or two for my daily driver :(

Had the same thing go down 2 months ago. Told here I wanted a Typhoon, she asked if it was smart, I said no but that she could get another horse. 2 weekends later, I'm driving it home. Being married to an Equine Veterinarian makes pulling that routine fairly easy.

I think if i had that conversation with my gf she would support me buying another typhoon, even though i already have a sy and a ty.

That's a weekly conversation with my wife.

Her: "Is it royal blue?"

Me: "No...but...."

Her: "Then no.. I only want another royal blue. When you find one and we have the money, you can buy me another royal."

Eh, I will try again come summer once the other Ty is home. I will be easier to convince her when I am not dumping money into anther Ty already.

Nah you just got to get the Ty you have up and running and take her for a ride to change her mind. Either that or rember the "discussion" and use it against her when she wants something stupid like a canopy bed.:tup:

windedv6 had a cool how to do this. just don't tell here. get one with the same color and schema and tell her you are daily driving your old ty

Yeah I have been right there recently I have been looking at a couple ty's and selling my syclone, the girlfriend is pissed. And I quote "Why in the hell would you sell your only clean running truck to buy yet another project truck." She has me there so I am keeping the sy and getting another ty.
