Re: my new tuning laptop

Yeah they are having some decent sales since they are closing down. I went there on sunday but everything was still pretty much retail price people just thought they were getting a "great deal" The place was packed.

I got a new laptop that I am really hoping is going to work good for datamaster

Defiantly not the cheapest but since I use it for work it will just be icing on the cake if it works with datamaster:D

Re: my new tuning laptop

I just picked up a Dell Latitude D600 from Ebay pretty cheap. Since you can't use Datamaster on Vista, I figured this thing would do. 1 Gig RAM 1.4 Mhz Processor, so it's no slouch either...

This new Lenovo is so small that it can fit on my center console where the cup holders are. I have a Libretto that I used to use for Diacom, that this little laptop will replace.

For those looking for secondhand laptops that'll be good for tuning, don't ignore the HP NC-Series (NC4000, NC6000, etc...). They come in Pentium M 1.4-1.6 GHz flavors, 12"-14" screens, plenty of RAM, decent sized HDDs, and only weigh a little over 3 lbs. No DB9 port, but you can USB adapt if need be.

Several on eBay around the $100-150 mark.

This one is obviously way above the price mark, but his ad has good pics - link
