FS TE45A turbocharger LOW MILES

This turbo has about 1k miles on it. Mostly under normal driving street conditions. It was run at the track twice and maybe 4-6 runs total. There is no shaft play at all and everything is in perfect working order. Open to take offers as I have no idea what the turbo is worth. I'm selling because I'm going with a larger turbo.

The previous owner showed me a 11 second time slip with the TE45A turbo. The turbo originally came from Dynotech Performance in NJ. The turbo is a few years old, but the millage is truthful. It has a 66 intake wheel, and .63 precision exhaust. On my paper work it sold for 999 brand new and they gave 400 dollars for the TE44 it replaced. (core) A Ty owner I know runs the same turbo and apparently paid around 650 used. Don't really know what to expect. That is all the information I know of and just wanted to be straight up about everything. What ever your offer is I'll need to add 3% paypal fees and shipping cost.

Yes, I love the sound. Right now I have a very small crack/leak on my headers so I need to get that welded. Then I'm going to get my down pipe, and headers and cross over pipe coated to help keep heat inside the pipes and out of the engine bay. Have my work cut out for me, so I need to sell parts that I no longer need or will use. Someone has to be looking for a decent turbo like a TE45A...

Yes, I love the sound. Right now I have a very small crack/leak on my headers so I need to get that welded. Then I'm going to get my down pipe, and headers and cross over pipe coated to help keep heat inside the pipes and out of the engine bay. Have my work cut out for me, so I need to sell parts that I no longer need or will use. Someone has to be looking for a decent turbo like a TE45A...

I believe madmike (mike pierce) ran high 11's in his mint low mileage basically stock syclone with this same model turbo so it moves good air.

Nice turbo, I don't think your going to get anywhere near the 650 ask though. Prices of everything are just very cheap right now. If you don't want to take a hit on the price, hold on to it for right now.

Still waiting for your reponse to see if this will bolt on to the stock exhaust manifolds? Will it clear the AC?

I was told it will clear the AC. I'm not sure if it will bolt up or not. I'm a newbie and maybe I should of researched that before I tried to sell it. I'm a honest person so give me some time and I'll find out for you. Already started a new thread to get some help from the Gurus. I'm thinking the TE45A bolts right up to a turbo Buick, but not sure on the SyTys....keep your eyes peeled. I was over there on the Buick forum and a TE45A just sold for 700 bucks (about same miles and condition as my turbo is in) . I want less then 700 :tup:

I believe these came with the garret housing that would bolt up to a buick gn but not our trucks and many who used this type of setup had to use a spacers which was produced by atr back in the day

it looks like you have the 3-4 bolt adapter but it is turned 180 from how most syty guys use it

Roger take it off if you have not already and take more detailed pictures. This will help people help you figure out if it work or not or if it has the adapter. Oh and is yours water cooled? I have the same turbo but mine is water cooled. Not sure if they all were or not. The pics will help though. Also if you got your $650 amount from talking to me thats not what I paid to buy it. Thats what it cost to rebuild mine.

I finally have some time off, but this weekend is crazy. Someone is bringing me a bank check for my SS cobalt. That will be taken off my hands on Saturday. The TE45A turbo is uninstalled so I'll take some pictures. I have it wrapped in a blanket in the bed of the Sy. Tucked away in the garage for winter. How much did you pay for the turbo, and I guess since it had to be rebuilt there was some issues with yours? Mine has no shaft play, only about 1k miles.

Roger my truck had the te45a when I bought it ....well actually it was the te45 I think since it had the 61mm comp wheel and it ended up needing a rebuild. So Waller had it rebuilt for me and when they rebuilt it they put the 66mm comp wheel in making it the te45a.
