Getting started tuning

Hello all, I have had a Typhoon for a little over two years and have been through 3 engines and finally decided to say lets go HD. Bought all the stuff for a pretty solid bottom end. I have read it doesnt matter how strong it is, if the wrong tune will blow it up quick. So I had s chip burnt with all my specs and got it back and it runs so rich I fuel soak the plugs everytime I drive it around the block. I have 60# siemens injectors and noticed there is a different bin for those injectors. The chip guy didn't ask about that I wonder why? I just told him 60#ers. I have never done my own chipping and would love to learn how. Where Is a good site to get the basics. I have downloaded tunerpro, The autotune file, and Dig's 60# bin for siemens injectors. Now I don't know what to do.

Re: Getting started tuning

Glad you're getting into the tuning etriebe. Have you posted over on the Code59 site? If not, it would probably be a good idea to.... sounds like you're set up use '59. One basic question... do you have a 3-bar map installed?

Re: Getting started tuning

I have absoluetly have no idea how to get the bin onto autotune or to actually put it on a chip, I have a burner coming and a g1 adapter. I have never done this before.

Re: Getting started tuning

pickup an ostrich emulator from moates.net and use that with your tunerpro and g1 adaptor and you can upload bins all day long with the truck running on the fly. No chip burning needed, no more dropping the ecm to pull the chip out and replace with another chip only to find out you need to make more changes then repaat the whole process.. Just make your changes as you go upload done new tune is live what don't like something make the change then upload bam new tune is now live etc
