I've been talking with the guys at Rockland Gear Inc. about there Tranzilla T56 options and guess what they've been up too. Cost is $4395 and rated at 600ft/lbs and extra $450 gets you an upgraded 9310 output shaft good to 850ft/lbs. This retains the 27spline shaft. Some of you will like it and others won't but here you go.

Being an ol' truck driver (everything from twin stick to 18 speeds) I say go for it. :tup:But will it fit??

That pic came from George at RSG, from talking with him I believe it is his truck, not positive on that though. I'm looking at it as a possible Sy swap, but I'm going to keep the 4.3 Sy heart. I like drag racing as much as the next guy and auto trans are definitely the way to go. I'd just like to do a little more with my truck, and with a stutter box, drag racing shouldn't be a problem. Check out http://www.shepracing.com/ , he shifts his car into the 7's! Not that I'll be that fast.

NICE! George @ RSG builds some pretty nice stuff....

I'd be interested to find out what shifter assembly that is. And if there is anything special in the adapter (fluid seals, bearings, or anything other than a bolt pattern adapter / spacer).

George said he'll be putting everything in in the next couple of weeks. I asked him for pics so I'll keep you posted. I do know that its' a C5 case but that's about it.
