Bracket that holds the proportioning valve up

How is this thing attached to the prop valve, exactly?

I need to get it off to paint it, it's got a bare rusty spot that bugs me.
Need to paint the blower motor too, wanna shoot them both at the same time.

Thanks,

2 10 mm bolts on the valve to the bracket then, remove both mater cylinder bolts to the booster, I believe its a 15 mm.

I don't think it comes off the valve. There is a square aluminum boss that goes through the bracket, and is peened over to retain it. I know you have to remove the valve and bracket to deal with the attachment.

Probably much more work and hassle than you thought it was going to be.

I thought that was on the older style rear only was like that? Or do I have them mixed up?

mine doesn't connect via bolts...looks like some sort of plastic rivet-ish type thing. Doesn't detach or mine would be powdercoated by now.

I doesn't come off the valve. There is a rectangular aluminum boss that goes through the bracket, and is peened over to retain it. You have to remove the valve and bracket to deal with the attachment.

Crap. that's what it looked like to me, too. I really didn't want to have to bleed the system, since my ABS is intact.

Guess I'm gonna have to do the small foam brush technique, and mask off a bunch of stuff.
