WTB A/C parts

I know a lot of you have done AC deletes so I'm starting here first before I go out and buy new stuff for my air conditioner. I've finally decided a black ty with black leather is no fun to drive on a hot day. The AC system is still in it, it just needs some work.

I have a newer compresser, so I assume that's still good. The condenser has a lot of damaged fins(may need to be replaced), I think the evaporator is ok but I will buy another one if cheap enough. I def need the AC part that goes in the heater/ac box. (Can't think of what its called). When removing my ic piping I broke the line off of it that goes to the evap and I need to replace it. Let me know what you guys have.. Thanks

Re: WTB A/C parts

keep in mind if a a/c system has been sitting open you need to replace the dryer and flush the system when I replaced mine on the ty I bought a blazer to gut the a/c system out of it only the lines off the compressor are sy/ty specific

You might want to hang on to that AC, you'll miss it when you don't have it we've had a couple freak spring days here in NJ and its been damn near 90 degrees! Makes me realize I want my AC blowing cold for the summer

didn't know the compressor lines were specific, i'll need those as well.

when i replaced my a/c i got all the stuff from the junk yard for pretty cheap from a blazer. lucky me the a/c was still charged, lol but truck was junk

Re: WTB A/C parts

I don't know much about an AC system other than the fact that it cost a lot to have someone do it for you. I need a couple parts to complete it and I was just going to charge it with 134. The compressor is newer and is converted for 134 but what else needs to be changed? It did blow ice cold when I got the truck 3 years ago so it may have been done already.

Re: WTB A/C parts

Mechanically I know how to make all the repairs and changes. I can pressure test the system, but beyond charging it with a do-it yourself can and hose from autozone I don't know much about it.

WTB A/C compressor hose assembly. Mine has cracked flange. Can't find this Ty part anywhere. Anyone have ideas?

I am pretty sure that I have one or two in one of my used parts bins. Let me know if you are interested.
