turbo filter

first off i'm not knocking any vendors products or saying they are over priced, i'm just poor and try to stretch my money as far as i can.

i want to add a filter on the feed side on my turbo. i've seen the kits sold by some of our vendors and they are really sweet and i wish i could afford one, but since i can't i was thinking about getting a remote filter mount and just using it with the smallest filter i can put on it. right now i'm just trying to figure out if this would cause problems becuase of the jump in line sizes. i haven't priced out the pieces to do it to see if the savings would be woth the effort yet, just trying to get other peoples input on this.

Re: turbo filter

INHO The jump is line size will make no difference once the system is full. Keep the turbo from turning for a few seconds on first startup and you should be fine. Don't worry about filter "size" either. Look into how well it filters.

Re: turbo filter

your feed line needs to be -3 or -4 anyway so no worries - are you feeding from the blocked port in the stock remote oil filter? that works good.

good plan :)

Re: turbo filter

right now the plan is to feed from the stock feed location, i've deleted my remote filter.

Re: turbo filter

Nothing wrong with that spot. I would use heat wrap if some kind until well past the exhaust manifold regardless of hose type,
