When you take off your steering wheel the horn wire that has a small spring on it is attached to a white plastic piece. That plastic piece is broke and becasue of that i cant attach the spring which will not make my horn work. What is this piece called??? I was thinking maybe it is with the turn signal assembly but it isnt. I also looked at LMC.com and no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I probably have one of those pieces.... I'll have to look. LOL, I know exactly what you're talking about, because my truck was broke also when I bought it.

Cam, turn signal cancel.

P/N 26047013 This is the part in the column, that sticks through the "lock plate", that gets it's 'ear' broken off, and the wire won't stay engaged.

The wire that Lloyd posted above, connects into this part.

Is there any place on line i can order this piece. For me its easier that way. I just cant find a on line store that carries this piece, unless im using th wrong part number.

thanks

Re: Horn Button Broke!!

Both parts are normal stocking parts at your local gm stealership. I listed the part above base on your Description of what was broke.

1. Did the 2 little pins break off that lock in to the part that Dave P listed?

2. Do you have a picture of what broke so we can make sure that you get the right part ? Enter the part numbers above on the search box on the left side of this page.

In the meantime, you need one of those bumper stickers. :rotf:

If it`s the part that goes through the lock plate, I usually use a small rat tail file and remake a notch in the plastic.
I`ve done that at least a hundred times.
