Ok, so as some of you already know I own a custom auto and performance shop in NJ. Today the weather was perfect so i decided to drive the Typhoon to work and give her a bath and what not. I had a slow day but i did have to install a short throw sifter and radar detector in one of my customers 2009 Dodge Viper. We will call him Rick for this story. Rick is a real nice guy in his 40s that has some money but isn't what id call a car guy. He wanted a fast car so he bought a Viper ! He also has a 07 Corvette Z06!! I guess somebody told him to buy them because he really doesn't know much about either of them.
So Rick comes into the shop to pick up his Viper and notices my beloved Typhoon sitting in the shop. Clean and shiny. Rick says hey Frank who's truck is that and what is it. I tell him that its mine, Its called a Typhoon, and bla bla bla. I tell him that is wicked fast and it brings most muscle cars to there Knees!! He laughs!! and asks me what the 0-60 time is on it. I tell him like 2 Seconds! Now Rick is standing there looking at me in outer disbelief.
Ricks response was Get TF out of here. He asks if it has a V8 and i tell him no its a 6 banger. Now this guy is calling me a liar and asks for a ride. Now it just so happens the tank is still loaded with race gas and the boost is locked down a 30 psi from my Nationals trip. I tell Rick to jump in !! I start it up and Rick says it sounds like theirs a hole in the muffler!! I pulled it out onto the highway, stopped in the middle of the road Boost launched the shit out of it and Rick starts Screaming like a little girl and grabbing for safety. I've never seen a grown man so scared in my life. It was awesome. I took the truck up to 120mph or so and let off. Rick was white as a ghost. He didn't say a word the hole ride back to the shop and it took 2 or 3 mins for the color to return to his face. He said that hes never felt anything accelerate like that before and was in complete shock in all. Man this thing hauls ass my Viper dont have shit for this thing. Unreal!!

It brings me back to the whole reason we all own these trucks they truly are awesome.
