Ty Block RIP

Tore into my block tonight and found cylinder #6 gone. Appears to have taken a part of the block with it also. All that's left is a small piece of the rod, the rest of it's in a 100 pieces. New shortblock time for me:steamer:

It was an overboost situation, elbow on boost solenoid broke, there's a post on it.

agreed, i took me a sec to figure it out. at first i was thinking he really f'ed that piston, and the wall looked pretty good for being that bad. then, oh wait, nevermind he's showing us the bottom...

I would guess the cylinder had coolant in it given the hole in the cylinder wall.

I know what you're asking... almost looked like the cylinder wall cracked, flooded the cylinder, and hydrolocked it..... strange to see that much rust inside the cylinder.
