OE GM converter that has higher stall

Is there a factory converter that will net a higher stall, say around 2k rpm or 2200 that can be used in our tranny. I am getting a rebuild and it includes tc with a 3yr 75k mi warranty. I was just wondering if there was a factory peice we could put in to net some gains?

2k 2200 rpm stall is a downgrade, otherwise the warrenty in our trucks? if the tranny goes they will not give warrenty on the tc. since your tc will almost never be the problem

I hope where ever you're taking the trans know the difference between a 700r4 and a syty 700r4 otherwise we'll be telling you we told you so.

I am not worried its warrantied and the tranny place has been in business for a long time, they are local and have their own racing team. Their builders are very capable and a friend works there, he said he knows the exact guy to build the tranny....and now this wont be his first. The company is russmoore transmission they have two locations in my town.

what size is stock stall, what is friendly and wont trash theese trannys 2800?

My stock converter stalls to 2100,others I hear get 2200.

If you are pretty much stock,,,I would not go more than2400,,,,2600 tops. IMO. ;-)

what stall speed is it?

let us know when you get it done and how it perform.. In the process of getting myself a rebuild done as the tranny out of a corvette c4 in my car is both in the process of giving up and has shift points making the ty 'overrev'.

if you need a good transmission i still have a good one laying around doing nothing.

Thanks but no thanks:tup: Unlss you got a hell of a deal on shipping that is....

I would a bought a tranny from a vendor last time instead of the vette 700r4 if I shipping plus taxes had made a 2k tranny into a 4k++ tranny........:tdown:

i/m in the netherlands europe. shipping wouldn't be more than 300.- it's a rebuillded typhoon transmission with the hard 1-2 shift etc. working unit. less than 10k miles

That stall is rated just over 2K rpm and should stall to about ~2500-2600 on boosted launch with the torque our trucks have.
