i may be mistaken but i think he got kinda screwed on the deal.. he brought it by the shop some time ago and we did a compression test which resulted in 2 dead cylinders.

Yeah the motor has some issues. The truck is pretty nice though. I have seen it up close at a couple of meets and at least he got a decent looking truck out of the deal. Pretty weak that the previous owner sold him that truck with a bad motor in it. He was looking around for a decent Ty for awhile.

Actually Neal had sent someone (a fellow syty brother) to look at it out and drive it for him and it checked out fine. The previous owner sold Neal a tip-top Saudi Ty. Where it went wrong is when the transport company got their hands on it. Neal seems to think that the scetchy dude who delivered it flogged the hell out of it somwhere between here and Texas. He'll prolly chime in here with his theory as to why he thinks so. There is a disclaimer one must sign that says that the transport co is not responsible for damage done to the vehicle. So unfortunately, he got fuct. Not only with that, but the DMV wanted an arm and left nut to register an originally non-cataliyst vehicle and for other miscelaneous happy horse shit charges, as well. Sux. Tis a sweet looking Ty tho.

Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot about the transport company. That really sucks then because I'm sure if the tow truck driver was gettin on it, he wouldn't have thought to let off if he heard pinging. Either way, whatever happened to it was just plain bad luck if it was in that good of shape when the other SyTyer checked it out.

hahaha don't ask how i even found this thread...
as for an update 3 or 5 years later... well lets just say that the truck will be paid off before i even get to drive it... hahaha i feel like an asshole with a Typhoon on layaway... The upside is that it sits in the garage with the cover on it with a bunch of boxes piled up around it, so that way when i go in the garage i don't notice it and don't get pissed off... that's really the main reason why i don't come around here anymore... i see everyone else's kick ass trucks and get annoyed.
As for theories as to what REALLY happened... For the longest time I was convinced that the transport "ferris bueller'd" my ty on the way here from houston... as there was a mysterious 121 extra miles on the odometer when i got it... But after hearing some news about the so called honest forum member that went and looked at the truck for me and vouched that it was tip top... I have a second theory that perhaps the seller kicked him down some $$$ to say it was in perfect condition.
Either way karma is a bitch and it's extremely unfortunate that i won't be there when it comes full circle... I'm not a religious man but i can tell you there's not a night that goes by that i don't hope to god the brakes fail on whoever is responsible for this.
My Ty will be up and running again someday... I just hope that Mike Lee hasn't closed his doors before that happens haha.
