Does anyone have a good stock shifter cable or a heavy duty unit (george blake) laying around they are not using? In a pinch and not may options by the look of it.

Thanks,
Adam

Re: Shifter Cable

whatever you doo... DONT BUY THE DORMAN PART .... trust me, they dont fit right, and they break very easily.... you'll get stranded out somewhere and not be a ble to shift your transmission without having someone crawl under your truck and shift it manually into D..... not fun

Re: Shifter Cable

thanks dave i did a 4 gauge grounding kit a while ago. i know i'm good there. from what i have read the c4 cable is 3-4 inches short in length. I looked for that stock part number but didn't come up with anything. I'll make a few calls tomorrow.

Re: Shifter Cable

I'm looking for one for my 93 Ty, and the dealership I called said they would have to ship one out of a warehouse in Wisconsin and it ran 230 bucks! Yikes! Good luck on finding one...no one's replied to my post in this forum so far saying they had one for me.

Re: Shifter Cable

I have a near brand new one. Had 150 miles. Was on the typhoon that was stolen. If you are in THE USA(48 states) i can ship it out to you for 125.

Re: Shifter Cable

The stock cable is P/N 15637721. Has it been discontinued, or is it just rumored that it has been? It may be very expensive, but would still be cheaper than mods required to fit a Morse cable.

The C4 Corvette uses the P/N 10219967 for shifter cable for all years 1984-1996. I do not know if the Corvette cable will fit a SyTy or not, but it could be worth investigating, as it probably is still available. A lot more C4 automatics were produced than SyTy's.

My parts guy says it has been discontinued but vintage parts has over 100 left. the corvette cables are alot cheaper so if that would work would be a nice change I found a GM one for around 45 bucks shipped if someone wants it to try
