I don't know if they are all as nice as the rep I had but all the transmissions I've shipped to other countries went smooth as butter. They are their own broker and have relationships with shippers all over the world.

Just talked to Robber ( he dropped by to my work ) and yess the new "add on" is realy the ticket to the 8 now.. I will be out with him tomorrow (thursday) to have the truck inspected by the tech and then on friday noon maybee earlier we have made a couple of FAST runs..
I´ll ceep U posted about it later that day, I go to work at 2100 hours sweden time 6 hours before eastern time

Whell the Noz Robert allready told you about, and its sett for 75 Hp and dint do Sh*t for the ET or MPH down in Chimay?!?! so I´ll guess he wont use it, because this new idea/ad on is better

The trans is rebuilt after the cluth burnt, He did run a 9,29@250Km/h on Gardemoen.. WITH OUT noz and a burnt clutch, so I recond he is going even faster now with a fully funktional trans..

Here in sweden we are 6 hours before you at the eastcoast, so a sertain advantidge this time for Robert, You on the odder hand have race´s every weekend, and to my knowledge there have not been any good atemt to krack that elusive 8?.

I hope to have my cam and heads on and my speedo corrected by then and I'll come down BUT it all depends if I can get my speedo fixed ( I can't race the 1/4 yet due to truck shutting down after the 1/8 due to overspeed condition). I whould love to try to pick on a STOCK sy or ty even thoe I know my 60" will hurt bad (due to little traction at the line) but most importantly to have some fun and hopefully not break something. :tup:
What are the Tech specs down at the Nats? I like to start getting everything done so all I have to do is just drive down on the day.
Also how much is it just to get on the track that night ( It is in driving range from me)?

Today with only 3 runs (alot of trans failurs in the track did stopp more runs :C ) we managed to do a "bracket" series of times..
Med 1á run 1.39 i 60` in 1/8 5.91/123.2 Mp/h in 1/4 9.200/151.2 Mp/t
och 2á run 1.40 i 60´ in 1/8 5.93/122 Mp/h in 1/4 9.22/151.2 Mp/h
sedan 3á run 1.42 i 60´ in 1/8 5.95/123.2 Mp/h in 1/4 9.23/151.2 Mp/h
Due to lack of runs we settled for this for the night,, MORE to come tomorrow

Which clutches does he keep burning up? Something is wrong for such a light truck to be eating up clutches. That's NOT a HP thing. Something is letting the clutches slip. Is he running Rossler's T-brake?

Folks this is a great day and I did know it was in the truck to get the first 8´
Guess I won the bet so... $5 to me from everyone that placed the bets on Hoovers or Hess.. just hand it over
Yes Robert had no time to finetune the Sy, we got 3 runs on friday did som fine 9,2x times found a item not worki´n fixed it saturday morning and run a 9.003..
have not the timeslips here at work for that run, but could tell by the spinning tires at launch (about 20-30 feet) the tracktion was bad.. then further down the strip I heard the engine got to the RPM-guard a good 50 feet before the 1/4 mile and stil got the 9.00 run, this ment, the 8 was just a run away
SOme minor adjustments on the laptop to get the RPM the whole 1/4 mile run and of to next and maybe the last run for the day (this is the situation in Sweden U hardy get more than 3-4 runs a day :C )
The 8 second run itself started as the run before spinning tires for a 20 feet killing the 60´down to a 1.431.
the shift points is a lithle close set so engine just hit the RPM-guard on bouth 1-2 and 2-3 shift (just a tadada) then the great feeling when the sign said 8.98@155 and the whole race (spectators, safety crue, track officials, all other teams) cheared the 8 for Robert..
After the 8 sec run we felt werry aroused and could´nt settle down so we whent up from pitlane to the trac and watched the jet dragster and som other races. then down packing down the party tent shifting the slicks in the rear to ET streets loading the stuff on the Sy and drive home (its a streetcar and is used on the streets)
As you can read from my story ..Yes its MORE to come in this Sy, a better track (Gardemoen or Mantorp) the times could been improved. but HOW much???
Now when the 8 is reatched (is ben a good hunt for it ) we might get the time (after the nats) to hit MECCA race way down in Malmö for a day of fine tuning on a 1/8 trackwhere we get more than 3 runs a day and can realy do some tuning..
The Goal was reatched, engine is in one peace, now Robert is going to do a 8 sec service, change oil, filters and bla bla
Then on the -06-07-26 its shipping time yahooo or yihaaa where on our way to the nats.

Truck will be on the ship next week. It is very apparant though that the shipping cost is only about 1/2 the total costs.
We still have bonds to buy, customs brokers, insurance, etc etc. We are making it happen though and thanks to those that have donated, Robert does appreciate it.
Looks like I will be picking the truck up Aug. 25th if it goes as planned.
Truck will be on the ship next week. It is very apparant though that the shipping cost is only about 1/2 the total costs.
