I set my FP @ 40psi using the jumper wire. As soon as I urn off the pump it drops to 36psi and slowly drops. After 5 min. it dropped 6psi. Is this normal or do I have a leak?? It did this befor and after I changed my AFPR. Thanks guys.

Re: Quick FP question

probably the pulsator in the fuel rank.. between the pickup and pump, it is supposed to dampen the noise.. not much to worry about as long as your pressure goes up with boost.

Re: Quick FP question

pressure goes up when I give it gas. Not sure about when I boost but the wbo2 shows everything is good. I am just trying to track down a miss at idle. injectors and fpr are new and the fuel pump was replaced last summer by previous owner. Not sure if it was done right. Might pull the bed off and check. Truck starts up good and blows white smoke but not black so i dont think gass is leaking in through the injectors. thanks for the info.

Re: Quick FP question

I gave the templates to a guy in a jet engine workshop. He used AutoCAD 2000 and cut them out with a laser using aviation standard equipment (he works on the helicopter engines that I fly).

I am pretty pleased! He'll make more if anyone is interested. It ended up being .9mm, so I will put 3 in and see what happens. That is my project for the summer.....(one of many!)
