True Stall?

I dont drive my truck much but pulled it out in efforts to get it ready for Truck fest, but this new tranny just won't build boost. The TC place i bought the tc from said it was a 3000stall but the just sit at 2600rpm and only makes about 4lbs of bost if im lucky. So my question is, does a 3000 stall tc actually come up as 300rpm on the Tach at the line? and Can low fluid have something to do with this, because i have a small leak some where on the passenger side so i cant fill the tranny up all the way, though i am not really concerned about the low fluid in terms of heat because the deep pan is pretty much full.

I just dont want to take the damn thing apart, put in a new tc and thats not the problem.

nope your tc is stalled too low. you gotta pull it and spend a few days to have it restalled and reinstall it.

I suspect with some very fine tuning and maybe a 2step you could work around the lower stall but If I was my truck (I had this problem for a long long time) I would go ahead and pull it and give yourself a few hundred more rpm's and make it a little easier on yourself.

one thing to consider...if you are running the stock turbo and WG, those WG's can get sticky (old) and stick open a bit...this happened to me and I could enver build more than 4psi simpley because to much exhaust was bleeding out.

I builds boost just fine when I am on it in other gears, and i have an aftermarket WG on there with the 20g
