VIN? Location? (you should be able to determine this from which Craig's List you're looking at.) Post the link.
Do a search for "Craig's List"...I know one was recently discussed...don't recall the details...and I'm going to sleep now. Good luck.

Thanks for researching it out for him Gary. That is my buddy who just bought his Sy. He was freakin out when he saw this one. I told him it had to have been a scam. He couldn't make it to the party, but he'll be around from now on. We'll be cruisin'. I think as soon as it cools down a little bit we should get some trucks together for a cruise. Ohh man, I autocrossed my Dads racecar in Atwater today, I saw the outside temp at like 112*. I was dying. This has got to stop soon, haha.

I looked at this Sy earlier this year with the intention of buying it. Until I drove it...
Truck is definitely very clean on the exterior. Remove those red stripes on the side and you have a sharp looking truck.
When I test drove it tho - oh my god. It has a KB chip, and definitely drove like it did. Audible knock when barely into boost and sluggish to spool up. Brake booster valve was failing and the brakes required a lot of pedal pressure to stop the truck. Truck would not hold more than a few PSI before creeping thru the brakes on a test launch.
The truck was located at Berry Motor Cars in Arlington, TX and they were originally asking 18,500 for it. The owner of Berry was selling it for a friend of his as they usually deal in older musclecars. They had lowered the price to 17,500. I told him about the problems that the truck had from the test drive and asked what gas was in it. He told me 87 octane, the same they put in all of their cars. OMFG. I told him about the octane requirements of the truck and the chip that was in it having no timing retard provisions. I left my number for the owner to give me a call so I could help him with the truck. I wouldn't have offered over 10k for the thing, who knows how long it's been driven that way or what damage is done. FYI, the owner never called me back.
Looks like someone may have bought it and is looking to flip it quick.
BUYER BEWARE - Syclone 1561 is not a good "first Syclone"...would be fine for a seasoned owner who can correct these issues and has the cash flow to repair damage.
