Its real tough 4 ply silicone...



And Im not being a wuss either, The pipe WONT fit. I tried putting the pipe in first and then putting it on the TB, but the 4" part gets distorted and doesnt leave any room for clamping on the sides of the TB....

Those look familiar. That's one of the pics from the Summit pages referred to earlier in this thread.

Vortech and Trickflow also make the same exaxt things

Problem solved. I got a 4" polished aluminum intake adapter tube from pep boys ($13.99), and put one end of it between my floor jack and the frame of the truck and squished it oval (I know its ghetto, but I dont have a vice). I rolled a nice bead on each end of the pipe before I squished it (dont have a vice, but I have a bead form tool, go figure). Lines up with the TB almost perfectly. So, now I have the original coupler between the TB and adapter, then the 4"-3" silicone reducer I bought on the round end of the adapter. Doesn't look bad either. Pics of my freshly COMPLETED A/A setup tomorrow. :woot:

is the lt1 elbow a 4 to 3in? whats the size of the round part?
