Alright so I finally think I've got stage one all figured out, and I would like some imput as to what you guys think of this setup and/or anything I should add or change. So here goes-

Engine - intake, some good plugs/wires, walbro 242 or 255, STG ultimate stocker, 180 thermostat, L35 heads with 1.6 rockers
Turbo - upgrade to ta49 from gnash which flows about 250cfm more, stock intercoolers with bigger hoses and IC pump switch.
Exhaust - 3" downpipe with borla or flow super 40.
Drivetrain - Stage II raptor 700r4 or prime gears 700r4, stock tcase, 2nd gen front diff, driveshaft loops, some powercoated SS rims.

I'm hopin this will get me at least consistent 12s with this set up. Would anyone recommend anything else with this? input it greatly appreciated

Re: input on build

I looked into my funds and realized I was way to poor to do the whole swap. really blows

I would go with Prime before Raptor, unless you need a 2nd hobby.

Does a 2nd gen front diff fit? Why swap?

To the best of my knowledge they are the same piece. With the exception that it's super hard to find a 2g diff that isn't 4wd, the AWD ones are few and far between.

Perhaps he intends to simply install a 4wd one to disconnect one side to do burnouts and such?????

Re: input on build

basically, they only came with 3.73s so I dont know if I'll just go 3.73 all around or stick with the 3.43. I heard 3.43 is better

3.43 will help you on your fuel mileage rather than 3.73s, but i think the 3.73 wouldn't help with traction.
