You could drop down I-44 to Springfield Mo. ( Brad Pitts home town -whoo) about2.5-3 hours and see Bass Pro Shops main facility and showroom. They have a nice resuraunt upstairs above the waterfalls called Hemingways thats pretty good eats....seafood,steaks,lobster,crablegs. All kinds of neat stuff and taxidermy on display along with above ground fish tanks and animals too. If you like that type of stuff ?? :p
If you had even MORE time ...you could go further south about an hour and visit Branson ( the new Vegas) and even Silver Dollar City theme park ( pioneer and gold rush era) Very cool place and rides.
Just some ideas for ya' !!

St. Louis downtown is good for 5-10 minutes. (I hate that town after traveling there several times)

Hey, St. Louis is worth at least 15 minutes! It's like McDonalds, for the most part it sucks, but at least you can drive through.

Stop #1 - Take a 1000+ mile detour to my house and drink some beer with me.
Stop #2 - Go to Savannah and eat some grouper that'll make your head explode.
Stop #3 - Swing by Waller's house and hang a few air fresheners around his neck.

Sounds like a plan.....what time ya wanna meet up?

it is a tempting offer.. but it is a bit out of the way, and I highly doubt my gf would enjoy assembling rad supports :)

eventually i'll make it down your way.
