Shipped out the last Ty......

Friday night, the shipping company came and picked up the red/gray Ty I recently sold, and it is headed West to a very anxious motivated buyer. I wish them the best of luck. Friday afternoon, I went and picked up the '69 Z/28 and brought that home. Both vehicles sat next to each other in the yard for a few hours; a nice passing of the guard before pulling the Z in to the garage, and the Typhoon onto the car hauler.

Everytime I sell a vehicle, whether it's a nice one or a $300 beater with a heater, I feel bad. I get an attachment to every vehicle I own, and they all seem to take on a personality. Granted, "Christine" fought me EVERY step of the way in the 2 years I had her and gave me more headaches and bruised / cut hands than I care to remember, but it was still sad to see it go.

I'll still be lurking around, trying to help guys who need it, but won't be around as much as I've always been. The Camaro is really unlike anything I've driven before, and am VERY glad my wife and I enbuying it. Aside from being a great muscle car, it goes down the road very nicely with no squeaks and rattles and is pretty comfy. Add to that manual steering, an 11:1 small block that absolutely hollers through full length headers and chambered exhaust and some 350-400hp, it really makes for an incredible vehicle. Thanks for all the help in the past, and hopefully I can still help you folks out in the future....

Glad the Ty found a good home man. Nice Z too! ... Sometime when I'm home and it isn't snowing I'll have to drive the Ty up north and check it out  . that is, if it isn't broken :rotf:

Is that an original 302 DZ motor car?
yes....the DZ and M21 are original to the car (both stamped with VIN). The parts not original to the car are the carb, some interior gauges (early model '69; came without a tach or console gauges), full-length Hooker ceramic coated headers, the tires, the cowl hood (car built 2nd week of October 1968, first cowl hood came on the ZL1 Camaro, first week of December 1968) and a chambered exhaust system from Year One.

Sounds like a great car. My dad owned several 302 Z's and beats himself up everyday for not hanging on to at least one. Still have the original window sticker out one, Off Road package is what I remember on it .
