Map values in TunerPro RT/Datamaster

I'm seeing MAP values of 2.2 in the readout for "Mass Air Pressure (Calculated 3-bar from 1-bar variable)" display field at idle.

I'm using the 1227749_2&3bar_58_rev6a.ads ALDL definition file.
Where does the value for vacuum (In Hg) come from. It seems to have the right value at idle.

I've hooked the mitivac up to the MAP sensor, clamped off the line from the manifold to the MAP. The values I see in TunerPro RT for MAP don't correspond to what I see on the mitivac.

If you notice, the values look right until the engine starts.

That table doesnt read in PSIG, it reads in KPA. KPA= 100 at sea level, 200 at 14.7 or 2-bar, and 300 at +/- 30psi or 3bar.

Do you have a 3 bar map sensor installed? If your running a 2-bar MAP sensor, this field wont read correctly for you. You need to read the 2 bar map field. Otherwise, 2.2 or even 22 is not a valid reading. At idle I usually see 40-50 kpa, very close to sea level here in central Florida.

The 2.2 is coming from the formula. I would have to look more detailed to see exactly what is going on. The main problem is that 3bar data is calulated from 1 bar stuff. Although it works and has been proven, it isn't 100% accurate.

Code$59 addresses this issue and fixes it. :)

I have a 3bar map sensor....Got another ECM in the mail today from Jim Sloan. I'll see if that changes the results.

Hopefully soon, I can't give you a certain date. We have one last bug with the WB and CL to make sure doesn't exist first.
