Last SAT night my friend and his family were on their way home from our annual Halloween party and hit a deer with his Tahoe. He spun off the road and hit a few trees and totalled the Tahoe. Everyone is OK but to total a TAHOE, DAMN!
BTW - he was sober.

! At least you are OK and everything that got damaged is replaceable... I live out in the sticks and the fear of hitting a deer is always on my mind when I drive late at night. I drive so slow in the wee hours of the morning, I'm surprised that I haven't gotten pulled over for suspicion of being "under the influence". My father hit two deer in as many years and I hit one last year in my daily driver. Fortunately, I only broke a fog light and bent my bumper. Got a brush guard up front now as a result.

No they just attract them to you, my dad hit a deer in his van and had those things on there, waste of your money :tdown:

sorry to hear about your luck. I've got some parts too if you need them. Rust free used GM fenders, ram air hood, radiator support grill, ect. drive back and forth between ft. wayne and bloomington fairly often. Let me know.

I know it could have been worse, Guesstimate from where i work, Dodge Honda dealer, Is in the neighbor hood of $10,000 to repair They think that my insurance company will want to total it, it was going to get a full paint job this winter, truck had most of the cladding off and has a new bed and pass fender, so it didnt look like a nice truck, which is going to hurt its value in the insurance comp eyes, :roll: Ive put way too much time and money into this thing for it to have a salvage title because of this deer. :rant:

Good Point poor Sy, getting picked on by the deer!
I have hit a couple of raccoons on my bike, one sent me into a speed wobble at about 80 mph, the other ran right into my lower fairing and shift lever, both scared the shit out of me, but i still ride, so even tho the deer tried to take me out, ok so he did take me out, i'll be back driving the Sy soon enough for NATS 10! :tup:
