Re: Hogging the market on ebay

I just spoke to them on the phone again a few minutes ago. I was calling them to let them know that i will be leaving 4 negative feedbacks in a row for items they bid on. They all of the sudden wants to make good on the payment. I told them there are guys on here as well that need to be paid for what was sold. They told me they don't know who else they owe money to because everyone else has been paid already. I told them they need to check their records and stop bs'n me because it's hurting them not me. Hopefully you guys that have sold things to them will get paid now.

I find it funny that several people that stuck up for him in the beginning are now starting to doubt him

What makes you say that? I read through a few of his posts, and didn't find anything. But then again, I did only read through a few...

I was joking about that possibly being the same guy.

Don't know which "him" you are referring to. It is always proper to give someone you don't know the benefit of the doubt regarding their honesty and sincerity until they prove otherwise. The buyer I have an issue with right now for non-payment is 1991gmctruck....not customrestor but evidently forum members are having problems out of both.

Here's the information on non-paying bidder (user name) 1991gmctruck; Jack Dunn, 3512 rosewood drive, Irving, TX 75028, (972) 427-0261. Phone number is not in service. Anybody close to that area know this guy?

I'll be the first I guess and I will be pretty blunt about it BUT I also want to be fair and reasonable so I am affording him ample time to respond to my numerous emails. I'm thinking one week from the auction end should be sufficient since in the auctions terms, I specified PPal payment or notification of other payment means within 48 hours.

Well, he met my reserve price on the TY  I wonder how high he could have bid it? HMM I still have like 6 days left though. We'll see what happens.

Re: Hogging the market on ebay

I think its crap. He is the high bidder on every single Sy/Ty on ebay right now. How many does he freggen need? Anything worth buying he is snatching up. That blows. Us normal folk cant hope to compete with bank like that. :(

For those of you contributing to this guys stash. Whats he doing for the community? How is he helping us? I may be new here but I am an original owner. I bought my Sy new when I returned from Desert Storm. Granted some thief decided he wanted it more than me but I would have never parted with it otherwise. I am looking for my next one. Anyway, I understand everyone needs to make a buck. I understand some parts need to be moved quickly. But if everyone feeds this guy, nothing worth having will be left for the rest of us. What happened to passion over profit? Those of us in the community need to stick together. We are all we have.

Something to consider.

There are plenty of trucks FS that aren't on ebay. What exactly are you looking for? Price/mileage, ect?

Guess you haven't had contact with him lately because Grandpa's changed ownership this spring. I guess the Riner's had enough of the business life.

Re: Hogging the market on ebay

Well it took a while and countless phone calls to him but customrestore paid me the $1600 that was due for the auctions. He told me he wants to buy all the parts and trucks he can and put them back together the way they are supposed to be. Expensive hobby.....

:dunno:

Na, it isn't me. I don't know of anyone else it could be. There are just a handful of syty guys in town but I only know one personally. I could look into this guy but at this point it sounds moot. No one has lost any money here right, he just has failed to pay?
