Re: Problem Tuner Pro -aldl

yeah it sees it ....then ask to find drive ......so I point it to drivers from Mark........ Interesting thing i found if you use an old .ads deff it links up to aldl . but wouldn't emulate ( Mismached error)

Re: Problem Tuner Pro -aldl

look thru the help section of tunerpro
maybe im thinking of datamaster for seting up for usb.
go to >tools>preferences>aldl
go thru each comm port press ok then try to connect to aldl.
the com ports are digital ports you might only have 3 physical ports and but you might have 6 com ports, so tunerpro might be looking at wrong com port.
for some reason i have to cycle thru my com ports every now and then.

also you should download turbodig's patch for aldl connection.
it gets applied to your bin file and makes aldl connect better.
made mine connect a lot faster.

Re: Problem Tuner Pro -aldl

when using a USB cable, always be sure to plug it into the same port. That way it will be on the same com port each time.

Also, I have had to force my aldl to be on com 3, it defaulted to a higher com port which didn't work.

Re: Problem Tuner Pro -aldl

I think I need the old .ads & Xdfs' that I used last year. Jeff can you E-Mail me the Pair ( It's the one you created with all the info in F2). I keep getting a mismatced bin xdf error. I can use the ostrich alone or the aldl alone .....BUT not both at the shame time. The only xdf 's and .ads 's I have are from the resent nwstp home page

Re: Problem Tuner Pro -aldl

The mismatch is not the problem. All that will do is not let you have the bubble working. Chances are you have moved the files around, and broken that link.

If you can do one or the other but not both you have a com port conflict going on.

Re: Problem Tuner Pro -aldl

Datamaster conects on com 6. and reads the ALDL data.In TunerPro I selected port 6 after closing DM. I go into preffs and Hit apply, test comport for valid cable using the settings.....(FAILS) if I hit it repeatedly it finaly comes up with a message ( CABLE FOUND AND FUNTIONING ) OK COOL!...........NOT test it again (FAILS) TAP TAP TAP ....CONNECTED, hit apply,
Open dash and values. hit Connect/Disconnect ALDL and bring up dash... NOTHING @ all.I've tried to lower the Hz.Nothing.Auto detect hardware never finds ALDL _ USB DEVICE
Go back to Preffs and cable fails once more!!!
Re-install TunerPro ...nothing,
Re--installed drivers, Nothing
I've never gotten a blink of information from TunerPro.
But I can get ALDL Data on DataMaster??WTF??

Try changing the usb to another port . My laptop would only work with tp rt on com 3 or 4 . Dont forget to wiggle the cord .

Re: Problem Tuner Pro -aldl

Force the aldl cable to be on a com port 1-3 and see what happens. You can do that in device manager.

That has worked for me. From then on, make sure you plug your aldl into the same usb everytime to save hassles.
