Hey all, new owner here...Just picked up a 91 Blazer Tahoe for 700, and was just informed that I have the option of converting it to a Typhoon model. Is it true ? Really ? A turbocharged truck ? LOVE IT !!!! So, the question remains......can I convert my stock chevy 4.3 into a Typhoon ? I've already considered the 5.7 conversion...do I have to do it to achieve the Typhhon model ? Thanks a ton.....

Thanks for the help eh, lol !!!! We don't really say that...do we, lol ? That was a great start to my project, unfortunately, it seems like you have to know more than everybody else to get any kind of answer out of anybody....kinda like a mantal ego trip or something, lol....anyways, I think I know what I need to do, and I'm getting started this week end.....I hope to have my custon Typhoon ripping by the first snow.

I have an extra complete Ty motor (and drive train if needed) available. As well as many other parts you may need for your project. LMK, or PM me. thanks.

Re: 4.3 litre hell !!!!

Hey thanks Tom, much appreciated...Will it be a direct fit, or will there be mods comin' out my ears ?
I'm up for the challenge, but the new truck will ultimately be my DD....just trying to picture the time frame...I've done complete overhauls before, but the Ty project will be a first for me....how much we talkin' ? Glad you're close, I live in Ontario.....Also...maybe I should mention that it has 388 000 on it !!!!!!!! And she purrrrrs, lol....

Dude, really.........the shipping on the motor and tranny to Ontario will damn near cost you the $700 you paid for your 388,000km truck, If you want a Typhoon, buy one, they are dirt cheap right now.

If you don't agree with me start reading this forum and it should start becoming really clear.

Re: 4.3 litre hell !!!!

Not that I don't agree with you....but I'm actually thinking about just picking it up in New York...I live about 2 hours from the border, lol...So, in all actuallity, it should only cost me the gas, which is about 60 each way. And the price of the motor of course. Thanks for the thought though.....Besides, where's the advbenture in buying someone else's toy ?
