Gave my Ty one last drive for the season

While I was home for thanksgiving I put almost 200 miles on the Ty... last time I'll get to drive it until the salt is washed away and I have leave (which looks like it could be as late as may ).
Added stock style decals, courtesy of John over at Mirrado Graphics :tup:


Let my brother drive my truck .... didn't know that AWD drifted so well

Also, did some datalogging ... got a 4.4 0-60 with 3 190lbs slobs in the truck on a rough road, and a 13.4 1/4 mile letting off at the 1/8.

This afternoon, drove it to the jeep dealer to test an SRT8 ... after we'd ridden in it for about 5 mins, the salesman asked how it compared to my Typhoon.... to which we reply that it wasn't stock anymore. It did feel comparable pull-wise to a stock Ty without any tuning or anything, but the handling was lightyears above. Doesn't match my truck though

You just need to get yourself some coilovers and nice still rear leafs this winter.

Do you honestly think I would rebuild the truck ground up and leave the stock suspension? :rotf: ... I was saying the SRT8 feels much stiffer than a stock Ty. It isn't a match for my truck though :tup:
I think I'm going to ask santa for a 9" 2800 converter

Ahh. My truck is pretty darn stiff, a bit harsher than I think an SRT8 would be. Interesting.

Well then adjust the firmness of the shocks down.

Never said it was too stiff for my liking, I have the fronts only about half way, and some niice stiff rear leafs. Need a little more rear shock and I think I'll be all good.
