syclone or typhoon?

well...i'm having trouble deciding on whether i should get a sy or a ty, so i thought i'd ask you guys. i have a pretty good idea what you guys will say...but what should i get? a sy or ty? i saw the posts a while back about the pros and cons of bother...but i'd like your opinion. it can never hurt. the syclone has a little less than 70,000 miles if not 70,000. The typhoon is a '92 with a little over 70,000. the ty is white/grey and the syclone just got a new paint job. the only downside is the typhoon has been in a little fender bender, but he got that fixed. i'd post some pictures but i'm not sure how to.

haha...that's what i said. my friends want me to get it so i can haul them around. but there's the good side to the sy...only 1-2 other people ;)

both. Its a persional thing. Either one is fun. Both have their good and bad points. If you want a syty you cant go wrong with either. But....SY SY SY SY SY SY SY SY SY SY. LOL

being young you'll probably want a stereo system, its easier in the typhoon to do this and you'll have room for a subwoofer box.

I bought my Typhoon when I was 17, and a reason I went with it is b/c I like the looks more and really liked the interior. Plus it lets me haul more friends and carry more stuff inside it.

its all up to your personal preferences tho

Syclone>Typhoon.

Why:
1. Who needs friends when you have a Syclone?
2. You have room to haul your significant other...any more ppl than that is just a crowd.
3. You can haul that 72" big screen tv home from the store...try that with a ty.
4. Syclones are faster ;) .
5. Syclones are easier to put up on jack stands as well as remove from said jack stands.
6. Youve got a 6' bed that never needs made.
7. You have somewhere that isnt cramped to sleep when the significant other is mad at you.
8. No leather seats to burn your legs when its hot out or shrink your jewels when its cold out.
9. You'll learn why everyone hates snap on tonnue covers after the first couple times of needing access to the bed.
10. You dont have to fork over the cash to a body shop to have them remove the roof rack.

that's one of the things i have been thinking about. i'd definitely get some subs. i'm s stereo kind of guy so that'd be good for me.

and a sy is good because since i'm in texas leather does suck...my friend has a leather car and it sucks...but it's not too bad. it's also faster...but their both damn fast and both the fastest thing in my city so that really isn't a problem. as for gas mileage and stuff....would the sy get better mileage since it's lighter? i've been thinking about this for a while. any way i can get my pictures up here?

They get about the same gas mileage. Sy were rated slightly less, if gas mileage is a consideration -your picking the wrong vehicle.

Fuel economy with a syty is a proportional thing: The higher the boost gauge goes (fun-o-meter) the lower the gas gauge goes:rotf: Go with a Sy, there's no back window to squeak (first thing I noticed when I drove a ty), and you have an excuse not to haul around a bunch of other people.

Syclones are alot of fun, But the big ? for you is this. Do you want to share the fun with 1 or do you want to share it with up to 4 at a time?

Depends on your size. If you're a "bigger" guy (6' or more) you'll regret getting a Sy, especially if you do any kind of distance driving. One more click further back on the seat (legroom and/or tilt) than the Sy offers makes a HUGE difference. (And the fronts recline flat so you can sleep "comfortably". I'm 6' 220# and feel cramped in Sy's, less room inside than the Subie. (Or Saabie if you prefer) :rotf:

If you're worried about the leather, tint the windows. :tup: Or put Sy seats in it.

And if it's got a roofrack (eek) you can still get that 72" plasma home. :lol:

Scaring the hell out of 3 passengers > scaring the hell out of 1 passenger.

Drive each and decide.

Im 6'3"/285 and its not that bad IMO. Then again I like sitting up straight instead of reclined back and all "G'ed" over on the console.

You gotta point there but who wants to look like a soccer mom the other 99.9% of the time you dont have a big screen strapped to the roof :p .

I drove both, picked the Typhoon because I wanted more inside space and I always like the 92' Ty seats. My Dad had a 93' Ty with the fatman seats, so I do know the difference.

Yeah, my back's kinda screwed, sitting upright like I'm in 7th grade Grammar class = ouch. No leaning over the console though, I'm from this side of the tracks.

Yeah, so's PA. Pretty sure TX (where he's at) isn't though... And if the cops aren't gonna pull folks over for 90000k fake HID's or blue turn signals, they're not gonna bother with some tint - unless you give them a reason to. Around here the cops won't bug you if they think you might have a gun. And it's always a surprise when we're near the top of the list of most felonies per population in the country. :roll:

Rule#1 - Women must remove tight-fitting clothes.
Rule#2 - Passengers ride at their own risk and are responsible for any damage they cause. And leather cleans easier than cloth. :tup:

Who am I kidding, I was looking for a Sy 2 years ago when I found the Ty...
