Issues with my Typhoon glass/tailgate lock...

It doesn't seem to work. Does anyone else have the problem where you lock the doors (press the door lock button) and the rear glass will still pop open? Am I just not doing something? The lock doesn't seem to engage manually (inserting the key and turning) either.

The tailgate on these trucks isn't in the door lock system. I has a similar problem with the TG being able to be opened without the key. I had to replace the lock. You can get one in your HELP section of you local auto parts place. I'm at work now so I can't tell you the part number. Warrning: There are 2 kinds that cross. Only one is the right one.

I agree with Bill ... after a while, the tumblers get stuck for whatever reason.... and then either you can't open it, or you can't lock it. It cost about 25 bucks, available at NAPA or really any parts place... the dealer can key them too. I had mine done to match the original key
