Ultimate chip question

Before i ask my question let me state that i know these things aren't perfect and a custom tune is the best thing i know i know.... Small steps right now im just tryin to figure things out before I jump in and start trying to do it myself. I have made small attempts at it and its going to be a long process. For now I want to use this.

For you guys using an ultimate chip (stock engine/injectors etc.) in setting T1-17,18, or 20 my truck runs lean in boost. Anywhere from 12.7-13.5 a/f ratio. I know this because i have a wide band. Fuel pressure is set at 55psi (vac off)


I changed the fuel filter, pump and regulator are fairly new.

The only thing that aren't new are the injectors, I got them from a friend and they have some mileage on them.

What have you guys done to get the a/f ratios down and what readings are you getting?

well honestly youre going to need to change the tables in the chip to bring the afrs down try the boost multiplier table

Anyone?.....

yesturday i changed the injectors just to make sure, i dont know if you call it testing but i tested the fuel pressure regulator to see if the pressure went up with boost. (thanks the DENNY he had a foot pump and a old boost gauge we added pressure to it to see if it would hold, its fine.

fuel pressure still set at 55psi. still running 13.1- 13.5 in boost.
Anyone have a suggestion other then tunning it myself? i appreciate kreepinty's thoughts but im waiting for my romulator to come back from xtronics they are replacing something. so for now i have to stick with this.

I think Wade (93Ty#2185) told me his Ulitmate was around 11.5:1 on a WBo2.

Mine ranged from 12.1 - 13.23
Peak HP was made with an A/F ratio of 13.23 @ 21 lbs of boost pressure.
Peak torque was 543.806 w/an A/F ratio of 13.17 Both of these readings were from the same Dyno pull.
The A/F ratio's were taken from my LM1 & from the engine Dyno.
Are you having KR problems?

I spoke to him he said the samething. he has a different version.

Mine ranged from 12.1 - 13.23

zero knock... i had the other day but after getting gas from a different gas station it went away. i was just looking for safty. after speaking to another person they said there range was from btwn 11.1-12.8. i guess my version of the ultimate is set up simialr to yours. i just wanted to make sure i wasnt the only one.

Yeah, mine is the older version w/the little black box, not the one inside a round style gauge.
Mine seems to run pretty good.
If you have zero knock,,,,,, I would not worry too much about it.
