I appreciate the enthusiasm. Anyone else? I'll give a quick rundown. Truck runs fine, but its counting knock like crazy. 60,000 counts in under 30 mins. Its pulling up to 13 degrees of timing down low, but less than 2 at higher rpm WOT or half throttle. Building brake boost doesnt get any knock or timing pulled. I'm very confused. Fouled plug cause knock counts like that? What else?

Ive never heard of anyone fouling plugs because of knock counts. Maybe you have knock counts and the cause of that is fouling your plugs. I think Tunerpro RT is becoming the new standard for datalogging, but I have DM at home. I will take a look later for you, if you email them to me. SBNova@Yahoo.com -Jim

Check to make sure nothings rubbing or hitting that could cause false knock.

Ideas:
A bad knock sensor/loose connection to the sensor.
Bad system grounds/ECU ground.
Really noisy plug wires or alternator.
Wrong chip/memcal ?
Something legitimately tapping and making that noise. A mechanic's stethiscope can help you track that down. Fuel lines loose ant tapping on the trans is a big one, tapping downpipe on the frame is another. Could also be a loose/broken motor mount.
Also, serpentine belts can sometimes whine at a frequency that makes the knock sensor nuts.
You can actually hook a knock sensor up to a PC mic jack and record it, that sometimes can help diagnose things. Normal sound is kinda like a screechy sewing machine.
