Straight bolt in as long as you tap vacuum in the right place (Ie, not the MAP sensor line)Aeroking said:I was thinkin of going to a hardpipe with a BOV. Just as overboost protection.
My question is, will it screw with any boost sensors, or make the computer read anything wrong??
or is it a straight bolt on with no tuning?
I'm probably gonna do it, i figure its cheap insurance.
I have an HKS SSQV, seems like the most common one.Aeroking said:Perfect, any recommendations on a BOV??
Brand, or size??

That's exactly the problem though. Once you go over 14.7psi they cut out. Makes it kind of hard to floor it or go fast when it cuts out and the CEL comes on. I would wait until you get the catback like the other guy said or close your wastegate more.Rookie said:Question? Why are you worrying about overboosting? Is that the problem your having? The stock syclones have overboost protection. Once they read over 14.5 psi they cut out. (Correct me if I’m wrong anyone.) The best thing would be to get an aftermarket boost gauge to really watch your boost levels. I know that some guys use pop off valves or some thing like that for overboost protection. All the BOV valve is going to do is get you attention on the streets and prevent compressor surge.![]()
