Can you tell me if these are like the 1996 3/4 ton pickup with a 454? Shipping to 92223? PM me please.

Sorry these are not Lt1 starters, I can get you one but I do not know how much one would be till I get your application.

Just sent out a ton of pm's to people asking questions. If anyone would like one send me an email(prefered) or PM and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks

I got one of these from David. A lot lighter and easier to install so far so good.
Thanks David.

I was beginning to have starting problems at the nationals and the 12-hour drive back finally killed the original starter.
The last fill up I had to leave the truck running.

Thanks for the good word guys. :D

I believe I only have one more of these for sale, I have to double check. If anyone wants one let me know and I will get with my supplier and see what kind of pricing I can get if I only buy a couple at a time.

Glad you made it home Wade, my Sy did the same thing to me when I bought it and drove from Florida to Wi.

Re: New Gm style mini Starters

The other advantage to these starters is heat resistant. Basically the only thing affected by heat on these starters is the solenoid. Whereas the stock starters are affected by heat and cause big problems especially with the heat of the turbo.
What I have done if you are worried about the solenoid getting hot is wrapped it with that reflective heat tape and secured it with a couple metal band clamps or hose clamps to keep the heat away.
If you would like one please send a check or money order to the address on the first post and as soon as I get that I will send one out as soon as possible.
If you have anymore questions I will gladly help, email or pm if you would like. Thank You.

Re: New Gm style mini Starters

I installed mine last night. Very nice. Did not completely remove the torque converter cover - left the one bolt over the front prop shaft and dropped the cover as much as needed.

Went back in perfrectly and works great.

Sorry took so long to reply, but no you have a stock starter.
Those can be a pain to remove/install, these are so much easier to install.
I have one left at the $80 plus shipping price from now on they will be $90 plus shipping.

Let me know

am i too late for this?

My starter has started to act funny. Sometimes takes 2 key cycles to crank over.

Re: New Gm style mini Starters

I have sold my last one in my original shipment but I can still get them but I won't get a quantity discount so now they are $90 plus shipping. It seems like $11 or $13 is the shipping rate for most of them that I have sent out. Just let me know if you would like one, my address is in the first post to send the money order or check to. Thanks

That's a gasket in the starter itself it looks like. The starter isn't leaking. It's probably coming off the rear main seal and running down off the starter.

I would like to get one of the starters if possible. My truck has the stock one from 92.

Please let me know when they are available

Re: New Gm style mini Starters

Sean and hboost, yes I can still get these its just not a gp anymore so I do not get as good a discount thats why the price is now $90 plus shipping.
Grim as george said there is no oil in a starter so its coming from the engine/trans somewhere.

Just let me know if anyone is interested Thanks.
