Re: Syclone St.Louis Mo

Must have been me. The black wheels are actually the Corvette Grand Sport type. No badges on the exterior other than the GMC on the grill. Had to switch back to the stock wheels with better snow tires this past weekend. Guess there are also GMC badges now on the wheel covers.

Re: Syclone St.Louis Mo

We live out near Defiance.

Modifications include (in reverse order of installation):

Flowmaster Exhaust with 3” pipes from the cat back
KYB monomax gas shocks
Belltech rear anti-sway bar
Black Grand Sport wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 315/35ZR-17 rear tires
Black Grand Sport wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 275/40ZR-17 front tires
Street/Strip Chip
Adjustable Fuel pressure regulator
ATR CV100A boost controller (engine mounted)
50# injectors
Mitsubishi Bad Dog Turbo TD06H-20G
K&N filter in stock housing

As far as I know, the Sy was always in Colorado until we moved to the St. Louis area last summer. Sy #31 has an interesting history according to the father of the original owner. Supposedly the first Sy in Colorado. Allegedly debuted at the Denver Grand Prix in 1991. Had a roll cage installed (which can be verified by the cut-outs in the carpet) and a pressurized water spray system for the radiator, which is all still in place except for the switch in the cab. Needless to say, the water spray system is no longer functional. Apparently GM was concerned about doing hot laps on the Grand Prix circuit in the middle of summer (August 23-25, 1991) at a mile above sea level. I haven't tried to verify any of this other than some googling, which has turned up nothing. Interestingly, I just started working with a guy that was at the 1991 Grand Prix. Unfortunately, he doesn't remember seeing my truck.
