Just an reflexion, How many runs did Hoover get on his Sy before he sold it (per season)

sorry to bring up old threads but i was looking through posts this morning with obviously nuthing to do :)

we got at least 100 runs per season with about half of them being quarter mile passes. it seemed a lot of the time they were trial and error. the other half was 1/8 mile runs with the same results, half being trial and error and the other half being quick ET runs.

the only problems, with the exception of right at the end when we sold it, was the tranny. we were torchin 400 turbos like crazy (it seemed) i dont think a rossler or any 4l80e would have taken what we put that truck through either.

Hi Matt fun hearing from U, oawooo a 100 runs a season. Thats impressive, thats more runs in one season than Robert made on 5-8 seasons... could explanine why U burned transm all the time, and maybee Robert found some trix to get his trans to hold together better, he´s a realy good transm guy himself, I meen he sees what have happend in the trans and tryes to beef up that part, then on it again..

Your new "toy" then ? been out and "stretched" it on some tracks yet?

No the truck is here in sweden, some changing of parts thats gone bad, (Springs and shocks) finaly the change of the old intercooler, new pluggs and so on...overall maintenance, and getting ready to race as soon as possibly, Robert wants to show this ttruck is a true fast car and that it belongs down in 8 sec segment..

Ive read about that XFI system and it seems to be one of the best on the market today..

Ive also got some rumors about your ol´truck, but its rumors so I´ll be Quiet n´till I know more. :D

the XFI is very complicated when ur first learning but its similar to the old FAST system we have. we're still learning about it and still have a ways to go.

i havent heard from the guy that has our old syclone. i dont know of anything thats happened since the last time i spoke with him? hope everything is goin ok.

Hi Matt

Your old truck is still in Florida. What I heard is that they are gonna test it next week or so, and they have put in XFI system in it, that is tuned by Cal Hartline, and they changed the case on the TH 400. This is what I have heard.

Regarding the XFI, it´s quite cool with all the features that it has. Of course it´s a little bit difficult in the beginning, but it gets easy after a while. I just switch to it myself. Hoping to start this week.

Regards Robert

whas up robert!

i spoke with cal 1 time on the phone over a month ago and he said they were gonna change some things but didnt really say what. he did tell me they had run the truck several times and hit 153 mph before the tranny quit :)

yes dad and i have tried to learn more about the xfi over the last several weeks and hope to be able the use it more and more as we go. theres a lot of similarities to the old system so maybe we dont have as much to learn as we think.

good luck to you in the near future with tryin to make a consistant 8 sec sy! i wish you well!
