Bought SY1616......

[SY1616]

Hi all, I've been lurking here for over ten years and have previously owned Syclone 1172 and 2569. I had to get rid of my first one in 98 due to the birth of our daughter and then in 2001 I bought 11172 as a project truck. The truck needed a bit of help (bought cheap) but needed too much to warrant the investment at the time (paint, interior bits, cladding, etc) so I sold it. I really regret having sold both and have sought another Syclone for a long time. I bought an '04 Saleen SC281SC in late '03 and although I love it (still have it), the car is just not it (too brawny/brute). Long story short, I bought Syclone 1616 off Ebay last night. I know the previous owners are still here somewhere (from CO and MI). Next week the truck will be shipped from CO to PA (I live in Perkasie, PA, SE PA). Really can't wait for it to come in and start another SYTY life with the locals. I know that many of you know this truck better than I so any input on it (its past) is appreciated. The truck has 39K miles and appears to be a 9.9 out of 10 (as represented by both prev. owners).

I'm sure I'll have many, many questions in the near future.

Congrats! Good luck with it. We'll def. be seeing you at local events. (I often go to Cruise Nights at Pep Boys Warminster starting in April). That's Austin's truck, MHST Guy.

I was actually considering selling my Sy for the downpayment on a new cadillac STS-V. How do you like your 05 cts-v?

Love the CST-V, great motor, drives beautifully, and really no better or worse than the 5 series BMW prior. I have a full Corsa exhaust on mine so it can certainly be loud if desired which is a good thing. My neighbor has an STS-V and loves it. Go for it!!!

If you knew me you'd be happy that I bought it. I take meticulous care of cars. It'll sit next to the Saleen covered in the garage most of the time.

He's never seen the truck, but we met at NATS last year. It was....interesting :lol:

I promise you won't be disappointed with how she looks unless it something happened after I sold it. He did use my pics for his ebay adds... :roll:

Hey, what's up with the "waterjet connoisseur" thing? I bought a Flowjet about 6 months ago. What a cool piece. As part of my business we have multiple CNC's, lathes, mills, and now the water jet.....oh yeah, a nice orbital welder too which could make sweet down pipes, exhaust, etc. I'm thinking about making some syty stuff.
