how much did you guys pay, all said and done for your vortec setup? ported or unported? not including installation?

i am looking for a set or heads, a cam, and a valvetrain to go with it.....i would also like the heads to be assembled.

anywhere from 1-2500 depending on how much porting you want and what size and type of valves and what type or rocker arms.

Re: total cost for vortecs???

for the budget minded, i have brand new assembled vortecs for $475 drilled for syty. assembled with stainless valves.

Then you need the intake manifold converted..

The race heads, with fully done up intake are obviously more due to the work and parts involved.

Re: total cost for vortecs???

I'm thinking it all depends on the other mods you have done or not done, that number would change ether way. Maybe that question is to obscure? or simply need more detail on you build.
But of course anything is better than stock heads. Mike has good stuff and stands behind his product, check out his web site.

I think it's worth it. Plus you can always freshin up the bottom end. Not all of mikes deals are on his RPM website, sometimes you have to call in order to get a specific deal, give him a call I'm sure he'll hook you up.
