Need trans in Denver

I installed the engine last summer in my 88 Firebird, But i did not get the transmisson so im in need of one or one that will work so far i have been through two.
One came out of a Trans Am and that failed the other came out of z28 and that one failed.
I don't have very much cash but if any one knows where i can find one or have one of mine rebuilt,.
Please let me know

I know of a decent tranny shop off of 36 and Sheridan. It's called Budget Transmission

My Brother inlaw raped his sy around a pole on I25 my sister maid him part it, So i got the engine.
And The trans came out of a Trans Am, Why whats up.
I need a info on a transmission, So are just intrested in where i got my engine or do you have some info on transmissions.

About two years ago, And i don't know where on I25 he wrecked it.
And no i don't have pics of the wreck i did'nt ask him for some.

Whats with the 3rd degree he didn't even know what he had, Ive been on this site for about a year and ive never had these kind of questions.
And its not any of your business anyway, So if you have anymore questions you can call me, and well talk about it. I ask for transmission and i get you guys

They probably just want to know which one of these is now junk to update the database.

You can tell the truck number by looking at the engine stamp if its the original block, (drivers rear) Anyways enough of that.

You probably figured out by now that regular 700R4 don't work all that well with SyTy's. Even if you have the SyTy Transmission you would have had to pull it apart to swap output shafts/tail housings. Hartman would be your best choice, but budget and hartman don't go in the same sentence. You could get one of your f-body rebuilt, but your going to want to get some of the Corvette upgrades (servo at the very least). I am no tranny expert so you might need do some research on what to use.

Wow! Why are you getting so uptight about it? We were curious cause seeing a totaled truck is almost like having a fallen brother around here. I have 3 trannies for what its worth. If you want a top notch 3k minimum tranny I would go to Hartman. But you do have other options.

I aplogize for my tantrum i guess i didn't realize that it went that deep with the trucks, I really am sorry.
My brother inlaw really didn't get into the syty stuff, My sister said that he didn't take any pics and that the insurance co totaled out the truck, It was pretty bad and i'll check for the stamp on the block and let u guys know. Once again SORRY.

I would consider the 200r4 tranny, they came out of the GN's and hold up for them really well. you dont need the awd so this tranny would work

Theres alot of SYTYers in CO that do NOT get on this board and havent even heard of it. I know of atleast 6 that barely even acknowledge the board.

Yeah, I know a few owners who aren't into the internet thing, but at least they are known about. Just wierd that we lost one of our own without knowing about it.

I just met a guy two nights ago cruising around. His truck(SY) was parked out in front of a do it yourself carwash. It looked in OK shape. Paint was kinda faded but all together atleast. Motor was clean as well. I had seen the truck there a few times before but nnever saw anyone near it. Turns out the guy owns like 10 DIY carwash's here in town and just drives around all day collecting money out of them. He took notice of my Z06 wheels and said how strange it was. He told me he has a Z06 that is his baby and the SY is just his work truck. Nice guy, I gave him my card incxase he ever needs any help. He has never heard of SYTY.NET.

I found a recked syclone at dealership on north pecos i called him ask if he'd be willing to part with the trans, So i found a transmission.
I want to thank everyone who gave me info, Im glad i join this site it has been very helpful when i needed advice.
