Glad I found this problem!

While installing my new IC/CAC pump and lines today I noticed something missing - one of the bolts holding the wastegate bracket to the turbo!!

The last time I drove the Sy I noticed what seemed like more boost and more knock... glad I had the smarts to not drive it till I found out what was going on!

In moving the bracket back and forth, it was changing the position of the actuator rod by about 1/16"!

I guess the lesson here is to always keep your eyes open and inspect everything, although it may not seem like it needs it!

replace those hard lines to the soleniod on the turbo now while your in there :2cents:

Hey '91.... are you just talking about using silicone in place of the hard plastic lines? These are pretty much brand new, but if they've been a problem for people I'll go ahead and replace them now.

If its new then its probably ok, but if they were the originals they could been cracking over time.
