91 Syclone with 80K noisy

Looked at a syclone today that i'm thinking about buying. Its got a noise, sounds like bad main bearing, possibly bad waterpump. i'm wondering which, need to look at the truck agian and do some tests to rule either out. What does the Syclone 4.3L share with the stock Chevy 4.3L N/A motors. wondering about availablity of parts if i have to rebuild

how much they asking ??? your looking at about 3500 for a small upgraded build asuming you do the work yourself.

Stock injectors tend to make alot of ticking noise.. So i'd pickup a stepiscope and look closer before making an offer.

truck is in northern NJ, its about 30 min from Me and i'm about 20 min from NYC. I went with a mechanic, thats why i'm of the opinion its either a bad waterpump rattling like a bearing noise or a bad main bearing. I'm going to pull the belt off and run it and see if its still rattling away. The price is fair if i had to rebuild it even knowing the going values

went back today and pulled the belt. water pump was shot and wobbling. started it up, engine sounds good and quiet. I left a deposit and am picking it up on friday most likely

was the the one from union, got it for 4500$. not bad, needs fenders and paint and a water pump. i can live with that, has lojack installed, not a bad deal, 80K miles, cheapest i saw was 7 for a beat up saudi, 9K for anything good

Good thing it was something simple. I used to live right next to Union. My old neighbor was from there and grew up next to Ray Liotta.

Off topic,but from right next to Union,N.J. to Colorado Springs is an outstanding move.Lived in Jersey my whole life(I like the ocean),and been to Colarado a few times.Once you see it,it's unforgettable!

i'm gonna be enjoying this truck, i've wanted one for at least 10 years, finally found one, glad it was just the pump, saved me a lot of money. i'll be doing the pump with in the next couple days and rebuilding it to its former glory.

doesnt sound bad at all.

if I had someplace to put it Id have probably bought it myself, but I wont have room for anymore vehicles for about a month or so.
