Stock prop?

Is this the stock propshaft? It looks small enough but I can't see anything on it.

I also noticed this area was welded where there's bracket that is bolted to part of the frame and front diff. What could cause this? It has a salvage title, so could this have been just aftermath of some wreck or has some one seen this before? Thanks.

Similar to stock, but not the stock. Forgot who makes that one....or is that the newer dynotech?

Yes, I have seen the welded bracket before. In fact, Sy229 (Rob) has it done on his truck. Oddly enough, I took a pic of it this weekend, I'll load it up later. I'll let him come in here and give the details....

the service book says you need to cut and reweld the tab when pulling out the front diff or bend it out of the way and bend it back, when i pulled my front diff with engine and trans in i had to bend it and rebend it back, it cracked the stock weld and I had mine welded back just like in those pics, i wouldnt worry about it at all.

My diff bracket cracked during a right-hand turn into a steep dip at a Wendy's entrance just off the highway. Afterward I had a bad shutter on slow turns. A re-weld cured the problem.
