Re: ?

...not entirely true. Vin numbers and PAS sequence numbers differ, but
since you dont have access to PAS Data then use your Vin Number for a
lack of a better build number.

There have been many members who have researched and tried to get
access to PAS information - but unless you were fortunate enough to
talk with them while purchasing/owning a vehicle (ie they had a 1-800 number
and actually would send you build sheets and questionaires) your stuck
as they no longer are in business. On my Ty the difference between the two
numbers is 1,112 for example (so they are not the same at all).

last four digits of your vin, or that's what they told me anyway.

I will say this again...
in the event you do not have the PAS Sequence Number, members on this board are
using the last 4 digits of their vin. BUT....this is not the same!

It doesnt really matter what I say tho, because PAS no longer exists and they are
not releasing info/data on this subject. Some folks are trying to figure out the
numbers of options-colors built for example. Or what month assembly began, etc.

Some (like me) have their PAS build records and know the difference between the two
(Vin Number and PAS Sequence Number)...but its not too terribly important I guess.
Especially if you can't come up with the true PAS Sequence Number, the Vin will
have to do.
