GMC Kalahari Photos???

Anyone have any decent photos of the GMC Kalahari Concept truck that got released at the 89? Chicago Auto show? Any would be great, I cant seem to find too many.

Based on a quick search, that truck sold on Ebay not to long ago. The cladding on that looks alot better crafted than the 4 door Geiger Typhoon's.

I really like that truck.

Thats interesting.. First time I've ever seen a pic of it. Anyone have anymore?

EDIT: How did you find it on ebay? I searched completed items and no dice..

The link was posted here in a previous Kalahari topic.

I shouldn't have said "not to long ago", as it's been 5 years. Next time I'll make sure to actually look at the topic dates before I post.

I hope maybe someone saved the Ebay pics, but I doubt it. I'd like to see the interior and a close up shot of the rear door cladding arch.

Yeah crazy how fast time goes huh? I wonder how much it sold for. Cool that it actually survived IMO.

That concept is interesting. You can see a resemblance to the '94+ changes. It almost looks like a half '93, half '94.

Probably crushed,considering that only 1 picture of it has surfaced.

I've found that the Chicago Sun Times did an article on it February 12, 1989 when it was at the Chicago Auto Show,might try researching that.

Yeah, you're probably right. Seems alot of the good trucks get crushed or you hear horror stories about them being driven around Detroit by a crackhead with 290,000 miles and the quarters completely rotted out.

I just did a quick search and the first link was about the Kalahari. The assholes want my credit card number for a "free trial" to view the full article though.

Yeah most concepts get crushed, since GM doesnt want to hang onto 'em and none are really "approved" for road use, there for if a civilian got their hands on one, got into accident, wouldn't be good for GM. It sucks.
