battery cabling

Relocated my battery and have two remote terminals to mount to the fender for ease of jumping/charging instead of having to unsnap the damn bed cover each time.. but now since i've ran out of my heavy gauge wiring, and don't really care to mess with the starter wiring since it's working great for so long (knock on wood) I was thinking of just keeping the factory cables where they are and attaching them up with the heavy gauge cable that's ran from the bed up to the engine compartment.. only deal is how can I attach the two? I will have an alluminum plate made up to mount these but how do I join the two?

I found this picture which is the setup I want but will hide the wires allot better.. but this gives you an idea of what setup im looking to go with.. just don't know how it's all joined together there. So any suggestions or help on how to get this done would be much appreciated.

This is actually what mine look like right now..

Thanks

Re: battery cabling

Looks good to me.. so in order to use my factory wiring i'll have to cut or drill out the studs from the cables and just slap em on the studs from the casper units or would you suggest cutting the factory side terminals off and put some lugs on them?

Re: battery cabling

Well I already have remote terminals like these http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_751819_-1_10367

Planned on attaching the factory cables etc to the rear of these inside the fender and mounting these in a plate bolted to the fender but I guess my question here really is can I get away with cutting/drilling out the bolts for the stock side terminals on the factory cabling and just slip the cables onto the studs of these remote terminals, tighten down the supplied nuts and be done with it without having weak current problems?

after looking over this thread and the pictures.. I'd have to think this would be fine because it's essentially what was done in the pic I posted above right

I'd cut those bulky, thick asss battery terminals off and solder some gold plated lugs on instead.
