sagging straps on sun visors

So I guess we all have this problem. Are the straps on your sun visors sagging? Mine are. It seems like the rubber that reinforces them has gotten brittle and hard over the years. As a result it is falling apart. I would say the same for the cd strap in the overhead console. So...my question is....is there a fix for this? Any body that restores them? New old stock OEM? Anybody? It's bugging me.
thanks,

Neg!
I recommend folding them under the mirror lid and closing the visor back to original position. Looks like they are tight; only when its opened and someone goes for the mirror do you see it. Not that bad of a fix unlike Dr Kavorkian over here :D

If you just want to have them there, because thats the way it came from factory ,pull them tight towards the windshield side, fold it up on the side you dont see when the visors are not being used. Then stick a pin into it so that it stays there. Might be kinda a back yard fix, but I don't know anybody that fixes them. Another choice might be to find a new car/truck that has them and transplant them over.

eather direction should allow you to fold and tuck under the mirror lid. I never tried forward, im going to do that to mine and check how I like it.

If you do find someone skilled enough to re-sew the elastic onto the visors, have it done and if it looks amazing; let us all know, we will prolly follow in your footsteps. Otherwhise theres not much that can be done besides replace them with some from a JY or from a part out.

It looks like were all in the same boat.I have seen lots of 92/93 junker blazer/jimmys and they have the same problem.I will look into it as I am curious to see if it can be done.
