Hey guys,
Here is the timeline, couple days ago started hearing a transmission whine, nothing to serious, truck rode fine.
This morning, shifted truck into drive, nothign happened then I felt resistance and some noise. Gave it a quick check and continued driving, nothing wrong shifted through the gears fine no problems.
After work, when to shift in R and nothing... the only way i got it in was to rev the motor a little. Got in to R.. okay... shift into drive, same problem, gave it some gas, shifted and okay, Drove fine
Wanted to go to a friends house... shifted in to D fine... and while driving in 1st gear it was very rough with decent vibrations and some noise, however gears 2, 3, and OD are fine.
Decided to turn around, gave captain morgan a call, he suggested to top off the ATF. the truck while idling shifted through the gears fine and the fluid level was good. Went to take it for a test drive, shifted into R fine and rolled back 2 feet to a sudden stop. Now nothing works, I can hear the transmission shifting into the gears fine but the engine just revs. Could this be a TC problem or did i really mess something up. I was suffering from early TC lockup for a while now, could a couple months of early TC lockups fry my TC? Now the truck won't move from its spot, the engine just revs and whatever noise there was before is now gone, so I'm wondering that if the TC was the source of the noise then i just broke whatever was wrong. Thanks guys any ideas?
