Looking for SYTY VB pics

Im looking for pics of a SYTY valve body taken apart with all the vlaves in order. Has anyone ever seen one? Basically, I still cant OD or downshifting. I had a bunch of valves thrown in a pile as I had them lain out on my table and when I went to take the VB off I accidentally pulled the towel they were on and down they all came. Unfortunately, I also had all the valves and springs from my two other VB's and now they are all mixed up. I tried assembleing it with the pics from HuRyde but those are jsut regular 700r4 pics. I need desperately a pic or two for a SYTY VB. If anyone can help out Ild much appreciate it, at this point, Ild even pay for it.

Need a pic of all the valves as they come out in order. And detailed close enough to see all the springs. You dont have to. Just thought someone might have some laying around. Ild pay ya though :lol:

Buy Mike's valvebody. Your screwed on fixing yours. You probably should've snapped a shot after you disassembled it. Now you see why there are fees to being ATRA.

Never didnt understand. Shouldnt matter IMO though. I dont charge people for help when they dont know somethign I do and I help people frequently, even in my business, I give free advie all the time and if they screw it up themselves I go fix it right and if they get it fixed right then more power to them, IM not hurtin in my business so it doesnt bother me to help out. Especially in such a small group like htis, and I even said Ild happily kick down some bucks to someone who could get me a true SYTY VB pic. . Its all in our own perspective though. Guess mine is off or something. Before this gets messy again, I feel like youre trying to be a dick to me again, tell me if its true or not so I dont get all upset :lol:

Not trying to be a dick. Just telling it like it is. Only differences in the syty valvebody has been well documented. "B" accumulator valve. It's stamped on the housing. Valve and sleeve are matched.

3-4 shift valve is syty specific. Very large diameter valve inside a matched bore.

Line bias valve spring is syty specific.

Shift accumulator valve spring is syty specific.

Those are the only differences. Sonnax makes a WOT throttle valve to allow 3-4 upshift while GM incorporated it into the 3-4 valve lineup.

If I was trying to be a dick I wouldn't have helped out at all. For some reason you say I'm being a dick when I tell you this information isn't free. Unfortunately that's the way things are whether you like it or not. I'm just the messenger.
My advise to you is either buy Mike's valvebody since you mangled all of the different valvebody parts together or get a know good valvebody and get a transgo Jr shift kit and use the no stick TV and the shift accumulator and line bias springs. In the instructions, they will explain the use of certain springs depending on size of boost valve used in the pump. Then get the sonnax WOT upshift valve, sleeve and spring assembly. Then ditch the spring and use the complete lineup for the rest of the TV setup from the Transgo kit.

If you want the full package I sell a shift kit that has everything in it but I don't give an itemized list. You would still need a good valvebody though. If you do the above you'll be 99% happy.

Especially after I tried smoothing things over so I could buy my kit from ya and I never got a reply, I jsut assumed you were being a dick due to previous conversations. At any rate, its over and done, youre not being a dick and I dont pay for for info :lol: I have to say though, it seems to be a common thread with trans guys and the pay for info thing. The guy that helps me out is a good guyd and I kick him a 20 when he helps me out but for the most part he never really asks me for anything. All the others I tlak to get real testy when you ask questions so I understand they are paying for it and givcing it away. Sure i could afford to send my trans to them but I just happen to enjoy working on my stuff you know? Especially when I know that Ill get back some hacked up garbage back. Ofcourse it got hacked up anyway when I screwed my VB up but still, just like to do it on my own. The guy I took it to yesturday was a cranky bastard, he kept throwing in my face that I screwed up, but after 4 trannies, this is my first screw up. And its big. Hopefully when I get the $ you'll be up for doing my 4L80E. What do you charge for this shift kit and how fast could you get it here? Tonight I plan on using my original VB with the no stick TV. If that doesnt work, I will probably pull the whole trans out and order your kit as a precaution.

BTW, I dont know if you remember semi-recently me asking you your # so I could ask you about the cble you sent me. I JUST got that thing working right after being on my truck for about a year now. I would put it in OD and it would be Nuetral. Put it in D and it would be in OD. I had used the bottom middle hole like the directions said (that I probably read wrong) and I tried the top one and it works perfectly now. Feels good to get soemthing right.

You guys have to understand. By the time I make it two 2+ hours and 6+ PMs and emails from people wanting exact parts and how to do them, they obviously are NOT gonna to be a customer. I have to take care of the people that do pay and must move on. I know money doesn't grow on trees but if guys continually ask for what to do, they must have money to get it somewhere, just not from me. That's a huge insult and it's happened before.

When I first started doing this, I stayed on the phone with a guy for 3 hours helping him through a botched setup from PATC. Wrong parts, wrong ATSG service guide, etc....I told him what to send back, what to ask for, everything. Didn't make a penny, pissed off my wife because he called and 6PM and I stayed on the phone till 9. Never heard from him again.

another guy wanted pics and part numbers. Found out he was working for another well known shop and just wanted to know what I put in them. Makes you want to help all kinds of people don't it.

I told Renz about another guy that was asking tons of questions about "his trans he was having trouble with". Ends up it wasn't this guy's trans, he owned a small shop and this god awful trans was really three different transmissions that HE was MAKING money on and couldn't get them fixed.

Free days are over. You think I'm being a dick? These guys are angels right? No more, call me a dick if you want to.

Well, I undersdtand where you are coming from, Brian Hartman explained it all to me the exact same way, hence why he is no longer here. George, I really am not knocking you for your opinion or the way you see things to be. FWIW, you spent about an hour on the phone with me over the winter shootin the shit about the SYTYs. I appreciate stuff like that and when we talked, I told you, if I ever need to spend money on my trans stuff Ill call ya. Im sure you dont remember that since it was something good I said but it was said. When the time came around to rebuolding the trans, I contacted you. You were going to send me everything I needed for like $300, damn nice deal I though. Now I realize that you werent going to make a buttload of money off me but that fact is, I can that stuff right down the street frommy house and have it tomorrow and I chose to go to you instead, why? to support our vendors, but you know what came next, we dont even need to get back into that. I was going to be your customer, maybe not spending thousands but I was going to buy, I appreciate people who give me info and would help in any way I can. So instead I end up spending $600 for the kit and a few more parts but I wouldve happily paid you that to support you since you did so for me. But then I wouldnt be bale to drive my truck for who knows how long. Its already been 3 months since Ive had a race, Im fed up and need to get this thing back on the road, you noticed in my other reply, I offered to just buy the kit from him, which makes a lot of sense, but, if I have all the parts here and just need a picture, why not try and get it back together? Its not like half went down a drain and are unretrievable(sp?). Im lost with this whole thing, maybe its my fault I dont know.

One big difference. I charge less for fully built 4L80e's than he charged for 700r kits. HUGE difference. You like free stuff. Who doesn't. Like I said, get Renz's syty valvebody and be done with it. Don't touch anything in it because you may end up in the same boat. Get new valvebody gaskets (5$) and be careful about the checkballs. I wrote up 90% of a rebuild for the 700 that is one of the most downloaded docs on the net. It is popping up everywhere. I'm not making a penny on it. It has everything you need in it.

You do not need to be racing anything. If you cannot afford to break it, you cannot afford to race it. The candle that burns at both ends burns half as long. You gotta apply common sense to what your doing. You offered to buy the kit but really just want a picture. It was just a gesture, I know. So why do it? Just buy Renz's valvebody.
