Just-A-Six, I think that 4" thick core is going to be too thick...you may have to notch the front bumper cladding to make it fit...just double check your measurements.

I am more concerned about the quality & flow rate.
Do you guys ever use these?

Thanks

I run one. 31x19.5x4" I have never had any issues out of it. Has held 35 PSI on a couple occasions. :) (Accidentally)

I used that exact tubing kit. The aluminum pipes look really cool, but the couplers are crap. really thin, but they do work. for the price I am satisfied.

I also think I used a core for that same seller, only smaller. the core is of good quality, just make sure he send the right one. I bought one with 3" inlet and outlet, but when it came in it had 2.5" in and outlets. I worked out in my favor though, I just had to order some different couplers to make it work.

With my set up I usually see MATs in the 100*-110* range, running 16 to 18 psi boost. That may not seem that impressive, but ambient temp here lately has been around 95*!

I'm happy with my setup, but if I were to do it again I'd use couplers from http://intakehoses.com

they also have good prices on t-bolt clamps and the 4"-3" reducer coupler to go to the throttle body.

Are the hose coupling reinforced with fiberglass or cloth material?

I tried to get these piping kits w/no clamps & hoses ,but the sellers won't sell them separate, they only sell them as kits, o-well, I tried.

couplers and clamps in that kit posted are absolute junk.. put two on my fmic setup but the truck sat for three months due to some other issues.. before firing up the truck I notice that both couplers were dry routing or cracking WTF! I ended up finding two couplers I had off my grand national from back in the day so I quickly swapped out and tossed those pos couplers

The clamps are normal hose claps.. I'd suggest picking up some t bolt clamps at least if you want to use any boost

No, there is no reinforcing on those couplers. I have only used two of those crappy couplers and there holing for now. They are really cheap, and look like some good boost could rip them apart no problem.

Just curious, with your new intercooler, did it make the engine run any hotter, since it is in front of your radiator & it is 4" thick?

Any other guys using a big 4" thick intercooler? If so, just wondering if it will make the water radiator/engine run hotter?
Thanks!!!

Ask Denny, I believe he was having cooling issues due to a 4" thick core.
